EpiStar® Combined Spinal and Epidural System

Distributed by:
Spinal Specialties, Inc., an I-Flow Company

The EpiStar System allows the physician the ability to perform combination spinal and epidural procedures. The EpiStar System drastically reduces the disadvantages of the individual epidural and spinal techniques by utilizing the single interspace needle-through-needle technique. The major advantages are a rapid onset achieved by the spinal anesthesia portion and complete analgesia over prolonged periods through the epidural portion all from a single system.

The Epistar CSE System is a new concept in CSE. Allowing epidural catheter placement before the spinal puncture. This technique can enhance safety by allowing the test dose for catheter placement before the onset of spinal anesthesia.

 Features & Benefits

  • Increased safety: Introduce and verify catheter placement before the spinal injection
  • Combine spinal and epidural procedures in one needle
  • True needle-through-needle design
  • Metal sphere in tip of catheter allows precise determination of tip position
  • Latex free
  • Detachable wing
